About These Terms
These terms apply to your use of this website and to every service we offer. Where a project has its own written proposal or agreement, that document takes priority over these terms for anything the two cover differently. OurPrivacy Policy explains how we handle your information and forms part of these terms.
Our Services
We provide four core services:
- Website design and build. Custom websites built on Astro or WordPress, including copywriting, on-site SEO, and a strategy call. Builds start from £1,750 and the price scales with the scope of your project.
- Local SEO. Ongoing local search optimisation, from £249 per month, billed monthly on a rolling basis.
- Google Ads management. Managed paid search campaigns, from £249 per month plus your advertising spend, billed monthly on a rolling basis. Ad spend is paid by you directly to Google and is separate from our management fee.
- Website Management. Hosting, backups, security updates, monitoring, and support, on monthly plans starting from £50 per month.
Estimates & Quotes
The Instant Estimate tool on this website produces an indicative price range based on the options you select. It is not a formal quote and does not commit either of us to anything. A fixed quote is provided after a strategy call, once we understand the scope of your project, and it is that written quote which forms the basis of any engagement.
Prices shown across this website are honest starting points, not flat rates. A quote we give you remains valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
Payments
Website builds are invoiced according to the payment schedule agreed in your quote. Builds can be split over instalments where agreed in advance. Work begins once the first payment has been received.
Monthly services (Local SEO, Google Ads management, and Website Management) are billed in advance on a rolling monthly basis. Website Management plans are collected by card through Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your card details.
If an invoice remains unpaid beyond its due date we may pause work, and for ongoing services we may suspend the service, until the account is brought up to date.
Project Delivery & Revisions
Most builds go live within 21 to 28 working days of us having everything we need from you. If a build takes longer than that through fault of ours, we keep working at no extra cost until it is live. This pledge depends on you providing content, feedback, and approvals promptly; time spent waiting on materials from you does not count towards it.
Every build includes two rounds of revisions as standard. A revision round is a consolidated set of change requests to work we have presented. Additional rounds are available at £95 per round, and significant changes to the agreed scope (new pages, new features, a change of direction) are quoted separately before any work is done.
Your Responsibilities
You agree to supply the materials we need to complete your project (such as images, logos, business information, and access to existing accounts) in reasonable time. You confirm that any content you supply is yours to use, and does not infringe anyone else's rights. You are responsible for the accuracy of business information published on your site, including prices, claims, and regulated statements specific to your trade.
Where a service depends on third-party accounts in your name (such as Google Business Profile, Google Ads, or your domain registrar), you agree to grant us the access needed to do the work.
The 12-Month Guarantee
If you have not made back your investment in a website build within 12 months of launch, we will refund 50% of what you paid for the build. To claim, you will need to show that you have been actively marketing the site and driving reasonable traffic to it over that period. The guarantee covers our work; it does not cover a site that has not been promoted or given the chance to perform.
The guarantee applies to website builds only. It does not apply to monthly services, advertising spend, or third-party costs. "Investment" means the amount you paid KGStudio for the build itself.
Website Management Plans
Website Management plans cover hosting, daily backups, security and software updates, uptime and performance monitoring, and SSL certificate management. Higher tiers add monthly content updates, faster support, and strategy check-ins as described on theWebsite Management page.
A "minor edit" on plans that include them means small content changes: text changes, image swaps, adding a testimonial, or small layout tweaks. New pages, new features, and redesign work fall outside the plans and are quoted separately, and we will always tell you before anything is chargeable.
Every build includes the first three months of Website Management free. Plans are rolling monthly with no lock-in: you can move up, move down, or cancel with one month's notice. If you cancel, we will hand over your site files and a recent backup, and assist with a reasonable migration to another host.
Ownership & Intellectual Property
Once your build is paid for in full, you own your website, your domain, and your content. That includes the design, the copy written for you, and the imagery you supplied or we created for the project. We retain ownership of any pre-existing tools, code libraries, and processes we use to build sites, and you receive a licence to use them as part of your site for as long as it runs.
We may showcase completed work in our portfolio and case studies, including your business name and results, unless you ask us not to in writing.
Third-Party Services
Parts of this website and our services rely on third parties: Calendly for booking calls, Formspree for contact and audit form submissions, Stripe for card payments, and Google services for search, advertising, and analytics products. Your use of those services is also subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We choose reputable providers but are not responsible for outages or changes on their side.
Limitation of Liability
We carry out every service with reasonable skill and care. We do not, and cannot, guarantee specific search rankings, specific traffic levels, or specific volumes of enquiries, and anyone who does is being dishonest with you. Results described in our case studies are real outcomes for those clients, not a promise of identical results for yours.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you in connection with a service is limited to the amount you paid us for that service in the 12 months before the claim arose, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profit or lost data caused by events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Cancellation & Termination
Monthly services can be cancelled by either side with one month's written notice, with no lock-in contracts. For website builds, if you cancel after work has started, you remain responsible for payment covering the work completed up to that point, and we will hand over everything produced so far once that is settled.
We may end an engagement with written notice if invoices remain unpaid, if the working relationship breaks down, or if we are asked to publish content that is unlawful or misleading.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the current version will always be published on this page with its "last updated" date. Changes do not apply retrospectively to a project already agreed under an earlier version.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
